Fruits must be an integral part of your diet, but unfortunately we do not eat it on a daily basis as a result of which we deprive ourselves of so many nutrients that are naturally available.
A video of Sadhguru is going viral on social media where he is explaining the benefits of eating fruits. Sadhguru explains that our body is made up of about 70% water, and what we consume should complement this natural composition.
“This one thing the Western societies are ignoring and paying a huge price. 72% of your body is just water. It is in sync with the planet. Asian cooking has 70% water naturally. If you want cleansing to happen, eat fruit,” he recommends.
Unlike dry or processed foods, which require the body to pull water from its reserves for digestion, hydrating fruits and veggies already contain structured water. This eases digestion, prevents bloating, and helps the body function efficiently without excessive strain on the organs.

They provide pranic energy

In yogic philosophy, prana (life force energy) is the essence of all living beings. Fresh, water-rich fruits and vegetables are filled with pranic energy because they are still “alive” and vibrant.
In contrast, processed foods or stale meals have little to no pranic energy, which can lead to sluggishness and mental fog. By consuming more fresh fruits, you nourish your body with natural vitality, increasing alertness and a sense of well-being.
