North East Food Festival at Molecule Noida – Food2go4

If you are intrigued by North East food, culture and natural beauty , probably the only way to have it all is to plan a trip to the North East but if you plan to indulge in North East food in Delhi here’s something most authentic that you must try your hands on. Well known home Chef Sneha Lata Saikia is hosting a special menu at Molecule Noida till 19th May 2024.

Chef Sneha Lata Saikia is known in Delhi for her special home tables where she brings the culinary magic of North East alive with her special curation of North East food Home style shit down lunch and dinner for selected people. I had been following her journey for years and wanted to take my friends to this well curated  experience but now with her association with Molecule Noida , she made it possible for me to explore her magic. Chef Sneha with team molecule curated this special limited period menu that’s being served at Molecule Noida till 19th May and does absolute justice to a vegetarian and a non vegetarian food lover with its share of dishes keeping in mind the entire North East. The name of the Food festival is “Seven Sisters and One Brother. And for everyone who loves North East food you must try this.

The journey to North East starts with a  shot of Black Tea ( Iced tea ) with Moringa and Tamarind and I asked for one more and I am not really kidding it was so good ,better than any mocktails I ever had.

Started with starters with Tilor bor from asaam – Pakora made with black sesame seeds , Pakora ( Fritters) Thomba from Manipur  served with Shinju Salad and most special of all Aloo Pitika ( as the name suggested it’s mashed potatoes) with Wild north east brinjal in the centre that adds a different punch to the Pitika and the chutneys were yum.

And the best part of the entire menu is the dessert – Black rice pudding , if you have a sweet tooth u must try this
Overall a great experience and if you like north East food this is your thing but only there till 19th May 2024

The most special part of the North East Fest was vegetarian and non vegetarian food options are in equal numbers ( definitely a delight for vegetarians ) and another fact that most of the dishes are made with minimal spices and minimal ingredients keeping the flavours high and robust.

The Fish is soulful and so is the chicken and pork dishes as per my non vegetarian friends, while the  vegetarian in me loved the guilt few indulgence,it didn’t felt like I was eating out, rather it was a transformational food giving a feeling that I was somewhere in north east. Simple ingredients and veggies were so much flavourful.

About Molecule: Let’s talk of the place where this festival is having , Must say it’s a beautiful space for a weekend meal or even a special meal. Definitely a lot of Insta/ Photo worthy spaces that you may pick for any occasion. A combination of open air terrace and a cozy corners well lit bar makes it a perfect pick too. All kind of sitting available here
