Hi folks! If you’ve been around here for a while, you’re already aware of my love of makeup. One of my favourite ways to shop and add to my makeup collection is when Nykaa has its online sales. Fortunately, they happen quite frequently, which allows me to replenish my stocks of favourite products and try new ones at discounted rates.

The most recent sale held by Nykaa was the Pink Love sale around Valentine’s Day. It’s barely been a month since then, but they are already gearing up for the next one – the Pinkfluence Party which will take place from Friday, March 21 to Friday, March 28. In this post, I will share the products I bought as well as the best deals that are slotted for the upcoming sale, so you can stock up on makeup and skincare items of your choice too.
So, here goes. Here are my picks from Nykaa’s sale offerings:
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in shade 230:
The Fenty products took ages to arrive since they came from America and needed custom clearance. Fortunately, the shade I had guessed as mine in the foundation is an exact match, and I like the formula so far.
Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in shade Uncuffed:
This is a repurchase. I earlier picked it on my travels to London a few years ago, and loved the colour on my skin tone, as well as the fact that it stays put for a very long time. It’s also very comfortable on the lips. The only downside? When the product crossed the two-year mark, it started giving off a very bad smell, so even though I hadn’t finished it, I had to get rid of it!
Too Faced Italian Spritz Eyeshadow Palette:
I recently did a big declutter of eyeshadows, which you can see on my Instagram page below. Having got rid of soooo many eyeshadow palettes, I needed to replenish certain shades. I picked this Too Faced one because it seemed to have a good selection of blue-greens and pink-purples. I’ve always been happy with the Too Faced formula – both the mattes and the shimmers are quite pigmented and stay put for a long time.
Sigma Beauty Ivy Eyeshadow Palette:
Though I use Sigma brushes religiously, this is my first time trying out their eyeshadows. So far, the formula is quite nice. And I like the distinctive green shades.
Elizabeth Arden Grand Entrance Mascara:
This product was heavily discounted, so I decided to try it on a whim. But it’s very average! All my drugstore mascaras perform better than this.
Nudestix Blend + Buff Dual-Ended Brush:
Dense brushes are ideal for foundation or base-product application. Since this one came with brushes on both ends, I thought it would work well for both foundation and concealer. It’s quite a small-sized brush though, so I may add it to my travel makeup case instead of keeping it with my regular brushes.
Inglot Gel Liner:
This is my mother’s favourite eyeliner, and I always pick one up for her when it’s discounted. I also use this and like it a lot, but I prefer liquid liner to gel liner in general.
Pixi On-The-Glow Bronze Stick:
I’d heard good reviews of this product, so decided to try it out. However, I was most unimpressed with the swatch on my hand because it seemed too light with a lot of shine and very less pigment payoff. But now that I have worn it on my face a couple of times, I feel it looks quite nice. The colour is subtle but still makes an impact.
Pixi Glow Tonic (free sample):
This is another product I have used in the past and loved, so was very grateful to receive a free sample size of it.
Sigma Eyeliner Brush (free sample):
I passed this along to my mother to use with the Inglot gel eyeliner, which doesn’t come with a brush. Sigma brushes are very good.
Inglot Duraline Makeup Mixing Liquid (free sample):
I’m not sure how / if at all I’m going to use this product, because it converts powders into liquids. Most people use it to make liner out of eyeshadows, but I prefer to wear simple black liquid liners. Anyway, it was a free item and perhaps I’ll find some use for it.
Elizabeth Arden Prevage Eye Cream (free sample):
This is a very premium and expensive skincare brand. The sample I received is very small but since you don’t have to use huge amounts of eye cream at once, I have already used it four times and likely will get a couple more uses from it. Not sure if it’s doing much though, because just a few uses isn’t enough to decide on the efficacy of skincare.
