Plus an astrology and tarot forecast, journaling prompts, and Womanrunes reading for the Libra full moon.

The April 2025 full moon falls in the sign of Libra. The Libra archetype is closely associated with justice and maintaining balance in social interactions and within the self. They are the true diplomats among the zodiac archetypes, and focus on fair dealings in all their relationships.
Spiritually, the Libra archetype teaches the principle of intimate balance, of the ability to remain centered and true to yourself no matter what may be going on around you. This is a skill that can be particularly helpful for those of us who turn up our noses at societal expectations as we dance to the tune of our own drum beat. Being able to remain centered is also an important skill to have if you’re surrounded by toxic people – and in these times, even toxic politics! One of the easiest ways to remain centered is through the breath, and by being able to distinguish between the things that are in your control, and those that aren’t.
This full moon also highlights our sense of purpose and belonging. The ways in which we show up for ourselves and others. The things, great or small, that we accomplish for ourselves or within the wider world. It also highlights our partnerships — the people and ideas we collaborate and partner with, learn from, create with.
Astro-Tarot influences for the April 2025 Libra moon
To throw some more light on the astrology of the full moon in Libra, let’s take a look at the astro-tarot influences of this lunation. The full moon falls in decan 3, which is represented by the 4 of Swords. This is to be interpreted in conjunction with Justice, which is associated with Libra.

The Daily Pause Oracle Deck
I designed this beautiful, 40-card oracle deck to bring in some stillness, to give us a word or an idea to reflect on as we go about our day.
Supported by the four elements – earth, air, fire, water – and a carefully thought-out structure that connects the cards, The Daily Pause oracle will help you to listen to and trust your own inner knowing.
There’s no learning curve involved with using this deck. Just get quiet, shuffle the cards, pull one out, and reflect on the word you’re presented with.
Since the last few years, it feels like the world has been lurching from one disaster to the next. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been feeling the heaviness of the world since 2014, when my country descended into right-wing fanaticism on promises of development and growth. Since then, we have seen a rise in hatred, riots, soaring prices, the slow erosion of judicial oversight, the takeover and weaponization of government agencies, and the government’s heavy-handed attempts to silence dissent. To say nothing of the heart-breaking events on the global stage.
So when I look at these cards — the 4 of Swords and Justice — they click immediately with my relatively new-found obsession with fantasy novels {while the world is burning all around me, I’d like to escape into a land of witches and magic and dragons, thank you!}, my apathy towards social media {because I’m not interested in listening to the sales tactics of polished coaches or watching a genocide unfold in real time, or wondering how everyone seems to be carrying on like we are not sitting on a dumpster fire}, and my increasing desire to engage more closely with my own little world {family, friends, my own little neighborhood, and my small online communities}.
For me, these are some of the symptoms of my overwhelmed mind; and I do not think that I am alone in feeling this way.
This Libra moon illuminates our struggles — both personal and systemic — and reminds us that we sometimes need to disengage so that we can continue to engage.
Over the years, I have found that the best way to continue to show up as a functional human being when the world around you is going to shit, is to focus on pursuits that are meaningful and comforting to you; to severely {but not completely} restrict the consumption of news; and to become increasingly aware of your locus of control.
When you narrow your focus, things tend to seem a bit more solvable. There is no way for any of us, alone, to bring about systemic changes, but we can make changes in how we show up and engage with the world.
That is the wisdom of Justice — none of us is unmarked by the events that are unfolding around us. If they don’t impact us personally, they have an impact on our value system, on our nervous system, on our understanding of the world and how it functions.
What are the small actions you can take to create a way of walking in this world that is more in congruence with your values? How can you show up for your people in a way that is more aligned with the kind of world you want to live in? Who do you want in your corner when you’re feeling a bit lost and need some help to find your way?
With Venus, which rules Libra, stationing direct on the same day as the full moon, Venusian aspects of beauty, communication, and connection are especially highlighted during this lunation. Examining our relationships, the groups that we belong to, the way we connect and partner with people are likely to be in focus during this time.
The moon also forms a beneficial trine with Jupiter, which can lead to deeper self-understanding, especially as we are exiting the eclipse portal. Specifically, we could gain greater clarity around any changes and shifts that took place during eclipse season.

The Womanrunes blow me away with their depth and with how on point they always are. The Sisters is such a beautiful rune to carry us through this lunation. A reminder to nurture our friendships, strengthen our communities and sisterhoods, and show up in solidarity with one another.
If you’re feeling alone or isolated, in need of companionship or a circle of people who share similar values as you, this rune encourages you to seek out the communities you need. Communities can come in many forms — in person, online, around shared activities or similar goals. Sometimes, simply inviting people whose words bring you warmth, comfort, or make you feel seen into your inbox can be the start of building a bond with them, of feeling a little less alone.
During this moon cycle, try to schedule in a coffee date with friends, in person or online. We are rarely as alone as we can sometimes feel. Seek out connection and community, and you are sure to find a small group of people who share your interests and passions.
The Womanrunes were created by Shekhinah Mountainwater in 1987. There were originally no written interpretations available for these runes, other than the name and one word meanings, which offer tremendous scope for personal interpretation. The remastered original hand drawn Womanrunes can be purchased here. Molly Remer subsequently wrote Womanrunes: A Guide to Their Use and Interpretation, based on her own meditations and interpretations of the runes. Her book is available on Amazon and Etsy.
