Tarot spread and astrology and tarot forecast for the June 2025 full moon in Sagittarius

The June 2025 full moon falls in the sign of Sagittarius. The freedom loving Sagittarius archetype is in a constant search for inspiration, new avenues of exploration, and adventure. This is a sign that gets bored of the status quo easily, and needs the rush of a new quest to keep them on their toes.

Spiritually, the Sagittarius archetype teaches us to cultivate our own personal relationship with the divine. Contrary to what most religions and a lot of spiritual teachers say, you don’t need an intermediary between you and Source/God/the Universe. You have that connection available to you at all times. Learning to tune in and trust that connection is where a lot of us seem to stumble, though.

The June 2025 full moon also brings into focus the ways in which we communicate and the power of owning your voice. This isn’t always an easy thing, to speak your truth. There’s a lot of anxiety that it can bring up, around how you are perceived; how your words translate; and what people may think of you. It can lead to fears of being “found out” or ostracized, neither of which is a rational fear!

You could also find yourself in a reflective mood at this time, teasing over a particular long-held belief or way of showing up in the world. Or perhaps, you may just need some time to rest or introspect. If that is the case, do honor that impulse.

Astrology and tarot forecast for the June 2025 full moon

To throw some more light on the June full moon astrology, let’s take a look at the astrological and tarot-related influences of this lunation. The Sagittarius full moon falls in decan 3, which is represented by the Ten of Wands. This is to be interpreted in conjunction with Temperance, which is associated with Sagittarius.

As I looked at these cards, I let out a breath I didn’t even realize I was holding. It felt like looking into a magical mirror — one that reflected my lived experience along with a glimpse, a hint, of a path out of my suffering.

Sitting back, I allowed my mind to wander over everything I’ve been juggling — helping my husband with his new business venture; getting a crash course on the intricacies of business regulations and associated paperwork; making time for my art and writing commitments; buffering the winds of my own personal storm as I try to untangle the knots around productivity and rest as I approach the first year anniversary of an early retirement. Added to that are the stresses of the world. The constant lurching from one global crisis to the next with what feels like relentless intensity, especially since the pandemic broke out in 2020.

No wonder, then, that I feel completely overwhelmed, my mood swinging like a pendulum, from frenetic productivity to numbing depression to a deep desire to drop everything I’m holding and hide somewhere where no one can find me.

And I’m willing to bet I’m not the only one trying to juggle so many things. If you sit back and reflect on all that you are carrying, you may have a list that’s as long or longer than mine. {And if you don’t, please share your tips on how you prioritize and manage your commitments in the comments below — I’m sure a lot of us would benefit from your wisdom!}

In fact, I encourage you to take a moment to list down everything that you are juggling, and everything that you are fully or jointly responsible for. It’s only when I made my own list that I realized just how much I am holding, and the insanity of trying to do it all.

That’s where Temperance comes in. It’s often considered a “passive” card, somewhat boring. I mean, nothing’s really happening here. There’s just a winged angel standing by a stream, wasting her time pouring some water from one cup to another. Meh!

But in the major arcana sequence, Temperance comes after Death. The serene winged angel depicted on this card is the calm after the storm that Death leaves its wake, giving us permission to pause, re-settle, and determine what we really need to go forward from here.

Paired here with the 10 of Wands, Temperance seems to gently remind us to put our bundle of burdens down for a little while so that we can at the very least see where it is that we are going.

When I looked at over at my “10 of Wands” list and saw everything that I was juggling, I put down the metaphorical stick that I was using to beat myself up for not being able to do it all.

Instead, I decided to prioritize that list, giving myself permission to set some things down for a while — even though I really don’t want to — and come back to them once things have settled down have a bit.

The other really important lesson here is to put down all the cares of the world, at least for a while, and to look for the little glimmers. To give yourself permission to enjoy your blessings, to find your pockets of joy, even when the world seems like a roaring dumpster fire. Temperance seems to remind us that giving in to despair, freezing in the face of the magnitude of the systemic injustice, or denying yourself simple joys is never the answer. With one foot in the water and the other on land, the angel on the Temperance card reminds us of the both/and…that we can make space for the paradox, hold both our sorrows and our joys, be aware of the injustices in the world, do what we can to address them, and also seek joy.

So that’s what Temperance reminds you: You literally cannot do it all. Cut yourself some slack. Seek glimmers even in the dark times. Ground yourself in presence, in the here and now.

With the moon opposing Jupiter, the planet of expansion and Sagittarius’ ruler, Temperance’s lesson is all the more crucial. Emotions are likely to be exaggerated and you could you easily find yourself overcommitting or spreading yourself too thin. You may also find yourself caught between the push-and-pull of what you feel and what you think you should believe.

But with the moon forming a harmonious trine with Mars, you have at your fingertips a dose of fiery courage, of fierce love and radical hope. It’s an opportune time to turn your convictions into action, especially around themes of personal growth, learning, travel, or spiritual truths.

Womanrunes for the June 2025 full moon in Sagittarius

Every full moon, I will draw a Womanrune for us, as a theme, a learning, a focus point for the days until the next full moon rolls around. This month, I drew Rune 21. The Egg. Rune of Naming.

The Egg is a rune of identification, of differentiation, of owning who you are and what you know and what you have to offer. Own it. Name it. Live it.

This is also a rune of communication, of clarity of thought and clearness of vision. The half-way point of the year is a good time to take stock of where we are at and where we want to go from here. This would be a good time to plan and envision the second half of the year, especially since this rune can also indicate new beginnings, the incubation or renewal of ideas and visions and dreams.

The Womanrunes were created by Shekhinah Mountainwater in 1987. There were originally no written interpretations available for these runes, other than the name and one word meanings, which offer tremendous scope for personal interpretation. The remastered original hand drawn Womanrunes can be purchased here. Molly Remer subsequently wrote Womanrunes: A Guide to Their Use and Interpretation, based on her own meditations and interpretations of the runes. Her book is available on Amazon and Etsy.
