The State government on Monday accorded permission for considering applications of 834 employees of the School Education department for change of cadre on ‘spouse grounds’.
The teachers who applied for the cadre in which their spouse worked now be relieved of their present allotted district, as per vacancies available in the districts. According to the government’s order on Monday, the applications are to be approved and the District Educational Officer concerned can relieve the individual employee after thorough verification of the spouse details.
As per the guidelines issued by the government in December 2021, to apply for change in local cadre and subject to administrative needs and available vacancies and practical issues, the spouse would be accommodated in local cadre after allotment of the erstwhile local cadres to new local cadres. However, the exercise was not completed as a number of spouses were allotted to different cadres.
