Hyderabad: HYDRAA officials removed illegal structures built on Suram lake in Tukkuguda municipality, Maheshwaram mandal, Rangareddy district on Saturday.
Officials said the lake area was over 60 acres, but encroachers had taken over nearly 15 acres, built a compound wall and laid drainage pipelines.
Residents complained about the illegal occupation to HYDRAA, leading an inspection to confirm the encroachments and the subsequent demolition of the wall.
