Kannada filmmaker Rishab Shetty and his wife Pragathi Shetty recently marked their eighth wedding anniversary on February 9, 2025. The couple celebrated this special moment with an intimate beach ceremony, surrounded by their two children. Pragathi took to Instagram to share throwback pictures of the touching moments from the day.
In her post, Pragathi expressed her joy and gratitude for the day, describing it as one filled with love and cherished memories. In her caption, she wrote, “To one of the best days and memories, where love felt like a celebration.” The images captured the couple sharing laughter and warmth against a backdrop of flowers and the serene beach.
Rishab and Pragathi’s love story began long before Rishab gained fame in the film industry. They first met at a movie event, where casual conversations on Facebook blossomed into a strong connection. Their relationship culminated in marriage in 2017, which Rishab describes as an arranged marriage with his best friend.
On the work front, Rishab Shetty has been riding high on success following his acclaimed film ‘Kantara,’ which he wrote, directed, and starred in. The film became a cultural phenomenon, with its gripping storytelling and rich themes. Following this success, Rishab has signed multiple projects, including ‘Kantara: Chapter One,’ a prequel to his hit film. The shooting for this much-anticipated project is nearing completion, with a release date set for October 2, 2025.
Rishab is set to portray the legendary warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in an upcoming film directed by Sandeep Singh. This project aims to capture the valor and charisma of Shivaji Maharaj and is scheduled for release on January 21, 2027. Rishab will also take on the role of Lord Hanuman in Prasanth Varma’s film ‘Jai Hanuman,’.
