Blake Lively Accused of Filming Fan’s License Plate in Hotel Lobby Incident

Blake Lively is once again in the spotlight – and not for her latest film. The actress is now facing bizarre new allegations involving a fan encounter at a luxury Texas hotel, as a young woman claims Lively not only confronted her for filming, but also allegedly recorded her car’s license plate.

A Celebrity Sighting Turns Unsettling

According to 27-year-old Kaitlyn Cooper of Houston, what began as a harmless celebrity encounter quickly spiraled into something much more disturbing. Cooper says she was staying at Hotel 1928 in Waco, Texas, when staff casually mentioned a “VIP guest” was on the premises.

That guest turned out to be Blake Lively, fresh off her SXSW appearance in Austin promoting Another Simple Favor. Hoping for a quick fan moment, Cooper caught a brief video of Lively entering the lobby – unaware of the drama that would unfold just hours later.

“She Spotted Us”: The Alleged Lobby Video

Cooper says Lively walked into the lobby wearing jeans and a white blouse, appearing startled when she realized she was being filmed. “She was super loud. Her voice was extremely recognizable,” Cooper told Daily Mail. “I believe she spotted us [filming her].”

But the real surprise, Cooper claims, came the following morning.

The Parking Lot Confrontation

As Cooper and her mother were loading their car to leave the hotel, she alleges that Blake Lively approached them – this time holding her own phone, recording.

“I looked up and saw [Blake] holding her phone like she was filming me,” Cooper said. “Out of instinct, I just said hi. What else do you do?”

The actress reportedly circled the vehicle, seemingly capturing images of the car’s license plate. Then, according to Cooper, Lively handed her phone to a security guard, who performed another sweep around the car before they both returned inside.

“We Felt Completely Caught Off Guard”

Confused and disturbed by the interaction, Cooper later posted her story to Instagram and TikTok. That’s when things got stranger. She says staff from the hotel – and what she believes were members of Lively’s team – began viewing her Stories. Soon after, she began receiving harassing messages and views from suspicious, anonymous accounts.

“The fact that I noticed a staff member and possibly someone from her team checking my Stories made me feel extremely paranoid,” Cooper shared.

Cooper claims that once her TikToks began gaining traction, online trolls began flooding her comment sections with criticism and hate. “Some of the responses from complete strangers have been so harsh,” she said. “What started as a brief, awkward celebrity encounter turned into something genuinely disturbing.”

This public allegation arrives at a complicated moment for Lively, who is still entrenched in a massive legal feud with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni. The two have been locked in a bitter courtroom battle since late 2024, with Lively suing Baldoni over alleged production-related misconduct – and Baldoni firing back with a $400 million defamation lawsuit that also names Ryan Reynolds.

While Lively has not responded publicly to Cooper’s claims, the incident adds another layer to the actress’s already tumultuous press cycle.

The incident has left fans divided. Some are rallying behind Cooper, demanding accountability, while others question the validity of the claims and the timing amid Lively’s legal drama. The actress’s silence on the matter has only fueled speculation further.

With cameras everywhere and fan interactions under more scrutiny than ever, the blurry line between celebrity privacy and public curiosity has once again taken center stage.
