Marvel fans finally have an official title for Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man movie! The highly anticipated ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will hit theaters on July 31, 2026. The announcement was made at CinemaCon, where Holland shared the news through a video message.
This movie will mark a new beginning for Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) following the dramatic events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Holland expressed his appreciation for the fans, saying, “A massive thank you for all of your support.” He also described the movie as “a fresh start.”
Director Destin Daniel Cretton, who also took the stage at CinemaCon, teased that this film will be “a ride that we haven’t really seen before.” The excitement around the movie grew even more when fans spotted Spider-Man 4 on CinemaCon’s 2026 film slate just hours before the official announcement.
The film’s title, Brand New Day, is taken from a 2008 Spider-Man comic book storyline. In this story, a universe-changing event erases people’s memories of Spider-Man. This is similar to the ending of No Way Home, where Peter asks Doctor Strange to make the world forget who he is. However, the comic storyline was controversial as it also led to Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson breaking up.
Cast of Spider-Man 4
While Holland is confirmed to return as Spider-Man, fans are curious about Sadie Sink (from Stranger Things). Some believe she will play Peter’s new love interest, while others speculate she might be part of the X-Men universe. However, Marvel has not confirmed her role yet.
