The much-anticipated action spectacle NTR 31, starring Jr NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel, is all set to resume its next major schedule starting April 22. According to a reliable source, “After a brief break, NTR will rejoin the shoot and continue filming through the intense summer months.”
Despite the soaring temperatures, NTR is reportedly unfazed and enthusiastic about working with Prashanth Neel. “He’s excited to collaborate with Neel, who has crafted a gripping action adventure that perfectly aligns with NTR’s larger-than-life screen persona,” the source added.
The film initially began production in February with an 8-10 day shoot. However, the real action begins now, with extended schedules lined up for what is shaping up to be a high-octane, big-budget pan-India project. “It is being mounted on a grand scale, aiming to capitalize on NTR’s growing popularity in Bollywood post-War 2, while Prashanth Neel’s brand has already struck a chord with Hindi audiences thanks to the KGF series,” the insider noted.
Adding more excitement to the mix, the film will see Jr NTR paired with rising Kannada star Rukmini Vasanth. “There’s an engaging romantic subplot woven into the narrative. Prashanth wants to explore different facets of NTR—from his soft and romantic side to his trademark intensity and rage—to further elevate his ‘invincible hero’ image,” the source revealed.
Following his on-screen pairing with Bollywood’s Janhvi Kapoor in Devara, NTR now teams up with Rukmini Vasanth, who won hearts with her emotionally nuanced performance in Sapta Saagaradaache Ello (Side A). Her ability to portray depth and relatability has made her a promising new face in Indian cinema.
