Diddy Sued Again as New Rape Claim Surfaces from 2001

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing yet another serious allegation, this time from a woman who claims he raped her in 2001, adding to a growing pile of sexual misconduct lawsuits against the hip-hop mogul.

According to a lawsuit filed in New York County Supreme Court on May 14, a woman identified only as Jane Doe says she was assaulted by Combs in July 2001. The suit, which also names Bad Boy Entertainment and others, paints a disturbing picture of the music icon’s alleged behavior during the early 2000s. This latest complaint arrives as Combs is already under intense scrutiny due to an ongoing federal sex trafficking investigation and several other sexual assault lawsuits.

Doe claims her first encounter with Combs happened in May 2001 when she and three friends met him in an elevator. She says he asked for her number that day, and later she and her friends ended up meeting him again at a club. During their second meeting, Doe alleges that Combs tried to kiss her, but she turned away, physically moving to avoid the advance. Still, he kept in contact with her.

Fast forward to July 2001, Combs invited her to his recording studio. She brought a friend with her for safety. They eventually left the studio and went to a club, but chaos broke out, there was a “sudden commotion,” according to the documents, and bodyguards quickly whisked them away and drove them to a restaurant.

After deciding to leave the restaurant without informing anyone, Doe says Combs called her and berated her on the phone for disappearing. Days later, on or around July 31, Doe says she and her friend met him again at the studio and ended up on a tour bus. What they saw there was deeply unsettling, open condom wrappers, used condoms, and women’s underwear were scattered throughout the vehicle.

The group rode to the Bowery Ballroom, where they were led to a private area and given drinks. Doe says the drinks made her and her friend feel “weird,” suggesting they might have been drugged.

Things escalated when the group left in a black SUV and went to Combs’ New York City apartment. According to the lawsuit, once inside, Combs “forcefully” led Doe to his bedroom. She says he put his hand around her throat and told her, “I’m going to suck the life out of you.”

Doe says he then let go of her neck but pinned her arm down, quickly unbuckling his belt and pants with his free hand. She describes his penis as the “length and girth of a large Tootsie Roll,” and said she felt slightly relieved, thinking it might not hurt as much. Still, she screamed at him to stop. Combs allegedly ignored her cries, slid her underwear to the side, and raped her, engaging in non-consensual vaginal intercourse until he was close to climax.

He then pulled out and ejaculated on her, she claims. After he backed away, Doe says she rushed to the bathroom to clean herself off and then ran out to the SUV, which took her and her friend home.

Doe says Combs called her about two days later, but she never picked up. She also ignored an invitation to one of his infamous white parties. She says the trauma of the experience haunted her. She developed difficulty being alone with men, became emotionally withdrawn, and says she was a “shell” of her former self. About a year later, she began therapy, attending weekly sessions for six months.

The lawsuit accuses Combs and the other defendants of causing her “physical abuse, emotional abuse, trauma, injury, and psychological damage” through their intentional, negligent, and criminal actions. She’s asking for a jury trial and is seeking damages.

With multiple lawsuits piling up and federal agents already breathing down his neck, this latest accusation could be another major blow to Combs’ already crumbling public image. His team has not yet issued a comment on this new claim.
