IPL 2025: Rachakonda police roll out traffic curbs, diversions of SRH vs DC match at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi Stadium today; check details here

NEW DELHI: In view of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 fixture between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals, scheduled for Monday, May 5 at 7.30pm at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal, the Rachakonda Police have announced special traffic and parking arrangements to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety in and around the stadium.

A large crowd is expected for the event, and accordingly, traffic diversions will be in effect from 4pm to 11.50pm in the jurisdiction of Uppal Traffic Police Station, particularly affecting heavy vehicles including lorries, dumpers, earth movers, water tankers, RMC trucks, and other commercial trucks.
The diversion routes are as follows:

  • Heavy vehicles approaching Uppal from Chengicherla, Boduppal, and Peerzadiguda will be diverted at the point opposite the Toyota Showroom on HMDA Bhaghayath Road, and should proceed via HMDA Bhaghayath layout to Nagole.
  • Traffic coming from LB Nagar to Nagole and Uppal will be diverted under the Nagole Metro Station U-turn, and should take the route through Nagole Metro Station, HMDA Layout, Boduppal, and Chengicherla X Road.
  • Vehicles from Tarnaka towards Uppal will be diverted at Habsiguda X Road and rerouted towards Nacharam and IOCL Cherlapally.
  • Lastly, heavy vehicles from Ramanthapur to Uppal will be diverted at Street No. 8 and should use Street No. 8, Habsiguda, Metro Pillar 972 U-turn, and Uppal X Road.

All commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and use alternate routes during the specified hours. Rachakonda Traffic Police request the cooperation of citizens in adhering to the diversions to ensure a safe and hassle-free experience for all.
