About The Book

Tech entrepreneur Mukesh Bansal has been a lifelong student of human performance optimisation. He has studied the science behind it, and worked closely with high performers across business, sports and entertainment, to understand what it takes to transcend apparent limitations and achieve true potential.

Through his entrepreneurial experience and studying the field of health and fitness, Bansal came to understand the enormous power of plasticity: the ability of the human brain to rewire itself at will as we develop new skills. He also realised that high performers across domains rely on common tools that were embraced by ancient wisdom and are validated by modern science. Knowing that high performance is not a matter of genetics or luck is highly empowering.

No Limits distils Bansal’s findings on talent, deliberate practice, mindset, habit, willpower and learning. It is a guide to maximising one’s potential with well-defined strategies. So, no matter what you do, you can be a superior version of yourself, performing at increasingly better levels, constantly reaching higher.

My Review

I love reading books by successful individuals as i always believe these people has special wisdom to pass. And this books proves me right and wrong. Right in the sense that Mukesh sirs ideas and knowledge on high performance is elegantly jolted down by him on the pages. And wrong in the sense that it brings down my very idea of “special wisdom” down to the fact that there is no secret formula or inborn talent that helps you to gain success it is just high performance. The book as it says is the art and science of high performance.

I always love reading non fictions especially self help books. A lot of topics discussed in this book is something i had already read, but the way the author had compiled everything into the book and connected them directly to our performance is done in a sophisticated manner. And that is the biggest highlight of the book. The book is compiled into 4 parts having 3 chapters each with every chapter focusing on the important aspects that help us gain high performance. The language used is simple, the ideas being said are also not complicated. The best part about the book is how it breaks the stereotypical belief that geniuses are made by genes and luck. It explores some known and unknown topics like sleep, body, mind, habits, Time Management etc. It is not a one sitting read, it takes time to absorb the ideas he is portraying. Another few things i loved about the book was the performance hack boxes and the “No Limits Toolkit” I am already utilizing the tool kit.

I rate this book five out of five stars. This book is an ocean of knowledge waiting to be passed on and use piratically in our daily life. The book is filled with references to real life which makes the book more interesting. I recommend this book to everyone. It is a must read kind of book.
