Lately, the mid-range smartphone segment has seen some interesting developments. The competition has really heated up, with several brands launching phones under the 30K segment. Surprisingly, unlike other brands, Realme has taken a completely different approach by competing within its own series. Recently, the company unveiled the Realme P3 Ultra, which directly positions itself against the Realme 14 Pro+. The new Realme P3 Ultra in its range promises to deliver all-round performance, so let’s find out what it has to offer.
Design
The Realme P3 Ultra impresses right from the first glance with its premium design. The vegan leather back provides a soft-touch finish, making it comfortable to hold while giving it a sophisticated and elegant appeal. Additionally, Realme has introduced a Glowing Lunar Design variant, which features a unique moon texture at the bottom that glows in the dark, adding a distinctive flair. My review unit, however, is the Comet Grey variant, which exudes a more understated, professional look.
Beyond aesthetics, the Realme P3 Ultra scores well in ergonomics. The phone measures just 7.38mm in thickness and weighs a mere 183 grams, making it lightweight and easy to use for extended durations. The flat edges enhance grip, ensuring it doesn’t slip from your hands. The rear camera module is neatly arranged, maintaining a sleek and balanced design without unnecessary protrusions. The device also boasts an IP69 rating, making it highly resistant to water and dust.
As for ports and buttons, the P3 Ultra features a USB Type-C port at the bottom. The power button and volume rockers are placed comfortably within reach. Additionally, an in-display fingerprint scanner ensures quick and secure unlocking.

Display
One of the highlights of the Realme P3 Ultra is its 6.83-inch Curved Vision Display. With an FHD+ resolution of 2800×1272 pixels, the display ensures sharp and vibrant visuals. The high 120 Hz refresh rate delivers smooth animations, making scrolling and gaming feel incredibly fluid.
The display also boasts a peak brightness of 1500 nits, ensuring excellent outdoor visibility. Its 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 1.07 billion color depth contribute to a rich and immersive viewing experience. Additionally, the 0.55mm Gorilla Glass 7i provides enhanced durability. Whether you’re gaming, streaming content, or simply browsing, the Realme P3 Ultra’s display is undoubtedly one of its strong suits.
OS and AI
The Realme P3 Ultra runs on Android 15-based Realme UI 6 right out of the box. While Realme’s software experience has been known for its feature-packed approach, some might find the number of pre-installed apps excessive. However, those accustomed to Realme devices will find the interface familiar and easy to navigate.
Realme UI 6 introduces refreshed icons, a redesigned layout with separate panels for notifications and quick settings, and a suite of AI-driven features. AI Smart Loop suggests relevant actions based on on-screen content, while Circle to Search allows users to quickly look up anything on display. Additionally, AI-powered tools like AI Eraser, AI Best Face, and AI Motion Deblur enhance photo editing capabilities. While these features don’t break new ground, they certainly add value to the user experience.
Performance
The new Realme P3 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra chipset, an overclocked version of the Dimensity 8350. This makes it the first smartphone to feature this chip, offering a noticeable improvement over its predecessor. The device is available in multiple configurations: 8 GB+128 GB, 8 GB+256 GB (review variant) , and 12 GB+256 GB.
On Geekbench, the P3 Ultra recorded a single-core score of 1251 and a multi-core score of 4207, outperforming the Realme 14 Pro+ (1190 single-core, 3227 multi-core). The GPU score also saw a massive boost, hitting 9016 compared to the Realme 14 Pro+’s 3349. Even when stacked against competitors like the Nothing Phone 3a Pro, the P3 Ultra holds a significant edge in performance.
Gaming is another area where the device excels. The Mali-G615 GPU ensures smooth graphics rendering, and thanks to its large 6,050mm² vapour chamber cooling system, thermal efficiency remains top-notch. Even in BGMI, the phone maintained 90fps in normal graphics mode, making it a great choice for gamers. Whether it’s daily tasks, gaming, or multitasking, the Realme P3 Ultra delivers without breaking a sweat.
Camera
The Realme P3 Ultra sports a 50 MP Sony IMX896 primary sensor with OIS, complemented by an 8 MP ultrawide lens. On the front, it houses a 16 MP selfie camera, placed neatly within a punch-hole cutout.
In daylight conditions, the primary camera captures sharp images with well-balanced exposure. The dynamic range is impressive, preserving details in both highlights and shadows. Colours lean towards a slightly cooler tone, but the overall vibrancy makes photos pop.

Low-light photography is another strong suit of the Realme P3 Ultra. When Night Mode is enabled, the phone delivers near-accurate colours, with noise suppression working efficiently to retain details. Some overexposure is noticeable in certain shots, but the overall results remain impressive for the price segment.

Selfies from the 16 MP front camera look sharp, with well-balanced exposure and good colour reproduction. Skin tones may not always be perfect, but the AI enhancements help with delivering visually appealing images.
Battery
Powering the Realme P3 Ultra is a massive 6,000 mAh battery, which is impressive given the phone’s slim profile. The battery easily lasts a full day of heavy usage, including gaming, video streaming, and multitasking.
The device supports 80 W fast charging, and Realme includes the compatible charger in the box. It takes just 41 minutes to charge from 20% to 100%, making it one of the fastest-charging phones in its category. Battery life and charging speeds are certainly among the P3 Ultra’s biggest strengths.
Verdict
The new Realme P3 Ultra is a segment redefiner, delivering a blend of premium design, powerful performance, a vibrant display, and excellent battery life. It not only outperforms its own siblings, but also holds its own against other mid-range rivals. If you’re looking for a phone that excels in every department while remaining budget-friendly, the Realme P3 Ultra is an excellent choice.
Realme P3 Ultra 5G will start at ₹26,999.
