My arrival in Ranchi was greeted by the early morning embrace of 6:30 am. The journey by train had been a comfortable one, providing a much-needed pause for reflection. Waterfalls such as Dassam Falls, Hundru Falls, Jonha Falls, and Sita Falls adorned the landscape, each a testament to the city’s natural splendor.
Met with Mungloo
It was here that I met Mungloo, an affable auto driver whose generosity knew no bounds. He became my guide, taking me through the verdant corners of Ranchi. With Mungloo’s assistance, I delved into the heart of the city, starting from Ranchi Zoo, discovering its beauty and, inadvertently, a path towards healing.

During my overnight train journey to Ranchi, I found solace in the delightful escapades of Mira Nair’s “Monsoon Wedding.” The comedy-drama unfurled on my screen, a precursor to the serendipitous timing of my own monsoon adventure.
