What Ananya says about Ashram? What are Ashrams?

The Sanskrit word ashram originates from ‘srama’ which means ‘giving the meaning of making an effort towards liberation’ and our immense desire to stay in an ashram after visiting so many places is actually connected with an irrepressible urge for liberation.

It is a journey of upliftment from being an ordinary bystander to the ultimate higher self.

For a section of people, Ashram is considered to be a sacred place where they can visit for spiritual/religious retreats but for me, visiting such a place is one of the best treats for one’s soul, he or she could ever give. Generally, after a long tiring day, I always love to come back to my own room, not because of the facilities.

I have around, but there I can just take a deep breath, sit back, and relax and make a distance myself from the worries and frustration I might be having all day.

We being the Millennial always tend to neglect our inner growth in order to run after our dreams and our so-called “civilized outlook” towards our daily schedule and lifestyles often make us.

But as we know decision-making is easy, when there are no alternatives, for ‘impassive puppets’ like us, the best possible way to retreat our soul is to ‘create our own happy space within our tiny world’.

It is not always feasible to leave everything behind and stay in an ashram for a pretty long time, instead of this, I would rather suggest people ‘make your place as sacred as an ashram and feel the vibes’ so it will be better for a longer run.
