Every time we have been to Amsterdam we have preferred staying right in the heart of the city. And our choice has mostly been Warmoesstraat which is just opposite the Amsterdam Centraal Station and where the real action is. Even this time as well for our first two days we were there in the city. But since our return flight to India was a little early in the morning we decided to put up in Ramada by Wyndham, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport for our last two days after spending two weeks holidaying in other cities of Netherlands.

We had arrived in Amsterdam from Eindhoven after a wonderful stay there with our brother, his lovely wife and their cute little daughter.
And while there being invited with press privileges to Van Gogh Village & Museum in Nuenen was such a refreshing experience. Being a Van Gogh fan we couldn’t have asked for a better gift. And going around visiting all the Van Gogh landmarks in the village and spending time in the museum was just amazing.
The hotel offers free pick up from Schiphol Airport every half an hour. And for a drop to the airport they just charge € 5 per person. We had to wait a little while as the bus arrived and we were soon on our way. The six km journey took us less than ten minutes.

The Lobby
Our check-in was very smooth and it hardly took us any time. And we were soon on our way to our room. The hotel offers various room options but breakfast is not included. You can though additionally opt for it at a price. There are dinner options as well if you wish to avail of the same.
And then there is Kukimi from where you can pick up a lot of dry food, sandwiches, chocolates and drinks including coffee. Come let’s have a look around the lobby area and other facilities before we take the elevator up to our room.

Bandhoevedorp Neighborhood
Ramada by Wyndham is located in Badhoevedorp, a town near Schiphol airport that is popular amongst residents for a comfortable living and its beautiful countryside. There is an air of peace about this place that we loved.
A short ten minutes walk from the hotel is the city center with few hotels, some restaurants, shopping options and departmental stores. On our first day after checking in we took this pleasing walk for some Pizza lunch and to pick up some stuff for our evening snacks and sandwiches from Lidl. Come walk with us to experience this lovely neighborhood.

And then we walked back to our hotel as we looked forward to an exciting next day in Amsterdam. With the invitation to Rijksmuseum at the top of our list besides the fun that was awaiting us. In this lovely and one of our top favorite cities in the world. Amsterdam.
Ramada by Wyndham, Amsterdam Schiphol. A perfect hotel to stay in if you arrive in Amsterdam a little late in the night or have an early morning flight to catch from Schiphol Airport. And we quite loved our stay.
